Taiwan F-16 Fighter Jet Crashes Off Eastern Coast

A Taiwanese F-16 fighter jet crashed off the island’s eastern coast during a routine training mission, with search and rescue operations underway to locate the pilot.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a Taiwanese F-16 fighter jet crashed off the eastern coast of the island on Tuesday afternoon local time. Search and rescue operations have been launched to locate the pilot.
The Taiwanese Air Force stated that the F-16 was on a routine training mission. The pilot, identified as Captain Hsin, is believed to have ejected over Hualien County.
In a statement posted on Facebook, William Lai Ching-te, the leader of Taiwan, instructed all relevant agencies to spare no effort in locating the pilot and determining the cause of the incident.
