Russia Calls for Venezuela’s Right to Self-Determination Amid US Intervention
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry released a statement on Tuesday addressing the ongoing developments in Venezuela and condemning what it described as US aggression. The statement emphasized the need to guarantee Venezuela’s right to self-determination without destructive foreign interference.
The Russian Foreign Ministry welcomed the efforts of Venezuelan authorities to protect their sovereignty and national interests. It called for de-escalation in Venezuela, advocating for dialogue and adherence to the United Nations Charter to resolve the country’s challenges.
The statement further stressed that Latin America and the Caribbean should remain zones of peace. Moscow reaffirmed its solidarity with the Venezuelan people and government, expressing hope for interim President Rodríguez’s success in addressing the nation’s difficulties.
Russia also declared its readiness to continue providing necessary support and assistance to Venezuela.
