Venezuela’s Interim President Condemns US Military Operation as Violation of International Law

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuela‘s interim president Delcy Rodríguez has condemned the US military operation that resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and the First Lady as a flagrant violation of international law. Rodríguez paid tribute to those who lost their lives defending Venezuela against what she described as America’s criminal aggression.
The Venezuelan leader stated that the abduction of the country’s democratically elected president constitutes a clear breach of international legitimacy. Her remarks came after US President Donald Trump announced on January 2, 2025, that Washington had successfully conducted a large-scale operation against Venezuela, claiming to have detained Maduro and his wife.
