Russia Deploys Submarine to Escort Oil Tanker Off Venezuela Coast Amid US Interference
Russia has dispatched a submarine to escort an oil tanker near Venezuela’s coast after the United States attempted to seize the vessel, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia has deployed a submarine to accompany the oil tanker ‘Marinera’ off the coast of Venezuela, countering U.S. efforts to intercept it. The Wall Street Journal, citing American officials, reported that Moscow has demanded Washington cease pursuing the tanker in Venezuelan waters. Additionally, a U.S. official confirmed that Russia has sent naval units, including the submarine, to safeguard the vessel.
