China Rejects US Venezuela Attack Model for Taiwan Reclamation, Calls It Internal Matter
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Chen Binhua, spokesperson for China‘s Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, refuted worries in Taiwan about China potentially following the US model in Venezuela. He emphasized that resolving the Taiwan issue is solely an internal matter for the Chinese people and will not tolerate any foreign intervention.
Chen stated, ‘The US has openly used force against a sovereign nation, a move that severely violates international law, infringes on the sovereignty of other countries, and threatens regional peace and security. We firmly oppose such actions.’
The spokesperson warned that if Taiwan’s forces dare to take reckless actions and cross red lines, China will take decisive measures and deliver a direct, severe blow.
The US invaded Venezuela on January 3, abducting President Nicolas Maduro, an act condemned by most nations as a breach of the UN Charter.
