Yemen’s Presidential Council Dismisses Two Ministers Following Al-Zubaidi’s Escape

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemen‘s Presidential Council dismissed two ministers on Wednesday following the escape of Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in southern Yemen. The council removed Abdul Salam Humaid, Minister of Transport, and Waed Badhib, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, from their positions and recommended their referral for judicial investigation.
During an emergency session, the council also approved a resolution to pursue and arrest individuals involved in distributing weapons and threatening internal peace, ensuring their delivery to justice and punishment.
Additionally, the council revoked Al-Zubaidi’s membership and referred him to the Attorney General. Earlier, Saba News Agency reported that Rashad Al-Alimi, head of the Presidential Council, had issued a decree stripping Al-Zubaidi of his membership and referring him to the Attorney General on charges of high treason.
