Russia Condemns US Military Operation in Venezuela as Armed Aggression and Theft

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has denounced the US military operation in Venezuela, which resulted in the abduction of the country’s elected president, Nicolas Maduro, labeling it as an act of armed aggression and theft.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia has strongly condemned the United States’ military incursion into Venezuela, which led to the abduction of the country’s legally elected president, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, described the operation as an “armed aggression” and “theft” during an interview with Sputnik. She reiterated the terms used by Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s representative to the United Nations, to characterize the incident: shock, crime, lawlessness, US armed aggression, and theft. The US military operation, which took place on January 3, involved the forced removal of Maduro and his spouse, who are now facing trial on US soil.
