NATO Secretary General Stresses Need for Continued Support to Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the importance of ongoing alliance support for Ukraine, praising the outcomes of the recent ‘Coalition of the Willing’ meeting in Paris.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has underscored the necessity for continued military and diplomatic support to Ukraine from member states of the alliance. In a statement addressing the progress of Ukraine peace negotiations, Stoltenberg highlighted the positive results of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ meeting held in Paris, France.

Stoltenberg commended the alliance members and partners for their unwavering support of Ukraine, noting the critical role of the United States in the peace process. The statement also pointed out that Ukraine continues to face significant defense needs amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The Secretary General reiterated the importance of sustained international backing for Ukraine. During the Paris meeting, participating nations agreed on the deployment of French and British military forces to Ukraine following a potential ceasefire agreement with Russia.

In a separate interview with CNN, Stoltenberg expressed confidence in NATO’s unified stance on Arctic security, stating that Greenland is fully prepared to host additional U.S. military forces, dismissing concerns over potential annexation.
