US Senator Vows to Reform Cuba, Nicaragua, and Colombia Following Venezuela Upheaval

Republican Senator Rick Scott announced plans to ‘reform’ Cuba and Nicaragua while predicting a new Colombian president next year, framing Venezuela’s political shifts as the start of broader regional change under US influence.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) declared in a Fox News interview that Cuba would be ‘reformed,’ Nicaragua ‘restructured,’ and Colombia would see a new president elected next year. The senator characterized the arrest of Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro as the beginning of sweeping transformations across Latin America.
Scott asserted that recent developments in Venezuela would reshape the region, echoing the Trump administration’s stance that Latin America falls under US strategic influence. President Donald Trump’s government has repeatedly labeled the region as America’s ‘backyard,’ vowing to align all local political systems through pressure and military threats.
