Lebanese Prime Minister Stresses Return of Southern Residents as Priority Amid Military Support Efforts

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam commended the military’s efforts in completing the first phase of arms limitation in southern Lebanon. He emphasized the critical need for logistical and material support to enhance the army’s capabilities for the second phase of the plan.
Salam underscored that ensuring the safe return of residents to the southern Litani region, after achieving the objectives of the first phase, remains a top priority. He also announced that the Lebanese government will accelerate reconstruction efforts in the south in the coming weeks, following parliamentary approval of a World Bank loan.
The Prime Minister reiterated Lebanon’s commitment to mobilizing Arab and international support to pressure Israel into withdrawing from five occupied points.
