German President Warns Against World Becoming a ‘Den of Thieves’ Amid Global Democracy Crisis

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has issued a stark warning about the erosion of global democracy, implicitly referencing U.S. military aggression towards Venezuela. Steinmeier stated that democracy worldwide is under attack more than ever before.
The German leader also criticized the policies of the U.S. government, noting the collapse of values by its most important ally, the United States, which played a key role in establishing the current global order.
Steinmeier, a former German foreign minister, emphasized the need to prevent the world from becoming a ‘den of thieves,’ where the most unscrupulous individuals take whatever they want.
He further warned that the world is increasingly becoming a place where entire regions or countries are treated as assets by a few superpowers.
