Global Media Covers Ayatollah Khamenei’s Speech on Prophet’s Ascension, Accuses Trump of Instigating Unrest in Iran

Ayatollah Khamenei’s address on the occasion of the Prophet’s Ascension has drawn widespread international coverage, with Iranian leadership accusing U.S. President Donald Trump of direct involvement in recent protests and labeling him a ‘criminal’.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, has accused U.S. President Donald Trump of instigating recent unrest in Iran, labeling him a ‘criminal’ responsible for casualties and damages during protests. The remarks were made during a meeting with various segments of the Iranian public on the occasion of the Prophet’s Ascension, sparking extensive coverage in global media.

Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported that Ayatollah Khamenei stated Iran would not enter a war but would hold accountable those behind the disturbances. Meanwhile, Russia’s Rossiya Al-Yaum network highlighted his assertion that Trump bears responsibility for the losses incurred during the protests.

U.S. network CBS quoted the Supreme Leader describing the protests as an ‘American conspiracy,’ accusing the U.S. of attempting to bring Iran under military, political, and economic domination. Reuters noted Khamenei’s claim that the latest anti-Iranian plot differed from previous ones due to Trump’s personal involvement.

Israeli media, including The Times of Israel and The Jerusalem Post, reported Khamenei’s characterization of Trump as a criminal, while BBC emphasized Iran’s demand for U.S. accountability over the unrest. Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar and Al-Quds Al-Arabi echoed these accusations, with Khamenei alleging that Trump supported the protests as a prelude to larger U.S. actions against Iran.
