Palestinian Islamic Jihad Criticizes Gaza Peace Council Structure as Pro-Israel
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement has issued a statement denouncing the structure of the so-called Gaza peace council announced by the United States, asserting that it aligns with the demands and interests of the Zionist regime.
The statement emphasized that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad has fulfilled its commitments in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement and remains prepared to move to the second phase, despite Tel Aviv’s obstructions and repeated violations of the agreement.
It further noted that the movement engaged positively with the technocratic committee proposal for Gaza but warned that the announced peace council structure reveals negative intentions regarding the ceasefire terms.
Previously, the White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump would chair the council, with other members including the U.S. Secretary of State and Trump’s son-in-law.
