Trump Invites Netanyahu to Join Gaza Peace Council Amid International Outreach

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has formally invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to participate in the proposed Gaza Peace Council. The initiative, reported by Yedioth Ahronoth and cited by Russia Al-Youm, also includes outreach to leaders from more than 50 nations, including Argentina, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Bahrain, Egypt, and Turkey. However, no official responses have been received thus far.
Critics of the Trump administration have raised concerns over the inclusion of figures such as Trump’s son-in-law, the U.S. Secretary of State, and Steve Witkoff in the council. They argue that the move mirrors the U.S. strategy of consolidating influence, similar to its approach with the United Nations Security Council.
