Turkish Foreign Minister Accuses Mossad of Interference in Iran’s Internal Affairs

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has accused Israel’s Mossad of direct involvement in Iran‘s recent domestic unrest. Speaking at an annual press conference with Turkish and international journalists in Istanbul, Fidan stated, “Mossad is openly interfering in Iran’s recent developments, and they do not deny this at all.” He further noted Israel’s attempts to alter the nature of protests in Iran but expressed hope that the Iranian government would resolve its internal challenges without allowing foreign interference.
Fidan also highlighted the strong cooperation between Turkey and Iran in counterterrorism efforts, particularly in addressing potential threats from terrorist groups near Iran’s northwestern border. “We have always stood in full solidarity with Iran against terrorism, and this solidarity will continue,” he affirmed.
Regarding U.S. threats against Iran, Fidan emphasized diplomacy as the optimal path to de-escalation, urging Washington to pursue negotiations over military action. Meanwhile, recent peaceful protests in Iran over economic hardships were reportedly hijacked by armed terrorists and rioters, leading to violent clashes. Western and Israeli media were accused of exaggerating these events, drawing criticism even from some Israeli analysts.
In a show of support for the Islamic Republic, large crowds gathered across Iran to condemn foreign-backed destabilization efforts.
