White House Announces Formation of ‘Peace Council’ as Part of Trump’s Gaza War-Ending Plan

The White House has unveiled a ‘Peace Council’ to oversee the implementation of President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza, alongside the establishment of a Palestinian National Committee to administer the territory.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the White House announced the formation of a ‘Peace Council’ on Friday, a strategic body tasked with overseeing the execution of a 20-point plan aimed at achieving lasting peace, stability, and economic development in Gaza. The council, chaired by President Donald Trump, includes prominent figures such as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and World Bank President Ajay Banga.

The initiative coincides with the approval of a ‘Palestinian National Committee for Gaza Administration,’ marking the second phase of Trump’s broader plan. The Peace Council will coordinate with an ‘Executive Council for Gaza,’ which includes regional and international figures like former UN envoy Nikolay Mladenov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, to ensure efficient governance and reconstruction.

A U.S.-led international stabilization force, commanded by General Jasper Jeffers, will oversee ceasefire enforcement and disarmament efforts. The force’s funding will be managed through donor contributions under the Peace Council’s financial mechanisms.

The White House emphasized alignment with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025), which endorses Trump’s plan. Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia and Jordan, have welcomed the initiative, stressing the need for humanitarian aid and a two-state solution.
