Washington Post Reports at Least One-Quarter of US Missiles in Nigeria Failed

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Washington Post has reported that at least one-quarter of the Tomahawk cruise missiles fired by the United States in Nigeria failed to hit their intended targets. The American newspaper, citing informed sources, also noted that the effectiveness of other missiles launched in Nigeria remains unclear.
The report underscores the inefficiency of Washington’s missile strikes in Nigeria, suggesting that these failures expose the limitations of US military power. The Washington Post had previously linked the Pentagon’s inability to track Iranian missiles as a key reason behind US President Donald Trump’s decision to refrain from taking action against the Islamic Republic.
Last month, the US launched an attack on Nigeria under the pretext of combating ISIS. The Nigerian government and its people have denounced the move as a violation of their sovereignty.
