Fire at Karachi Shopping Mall Leaves 5 Dead, 20 Injured

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a devastating fire broke out at the Gul Plaza shopping mall in Karachi, claiming five lives and injuring 20 others. The blaze, which started on the first floor of the commercial complex located in a densely populated area of the city, has been partially contained, with approximately 30% of the fire extinguished by Sunday morning.
Rescue officials reported that 20 firefighting teams are currently battling the flames, though the building remains at high risk of collapse. Initial investigations suggest the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in one of the mall’s shops. Local authorities have launched a probe into the incident to determine further details.
Earlier reports from local media had indicated three fatalities and seven injuries, but the toll has since risen. The incident has drawn significant emergency response efforts amid concerns over the structural integrity of the affected building.
