PKK Leader Ocalan Expresses Deep Concern Over Escalating Clashes Between SDF and Syrian Government Forces

Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the PKK, has issued a statement from Imrali Island, voicing serious concerns about the recent surge in tensions between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Damascus government troops, urging a return to peaceful dialogue.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abdullah Ocalan, the leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) currently imprisoned on Imrali Island, has expressed grave concern over the escalating clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian government forces. In a statement released from his prison, Ocalan emphasized that adherence to the peace process requires necessary steps to advance negotiations.

Ocalan described the recent tensions in Syria as an attempt to derail the peace process, calling for all parties to act responsibly to strengthen stability. He reiterated that resolving Syria’s issues is only possible through dialogue and peaceful means, offering his readiness to facilitate de-escalation efforts.

The statement comes amid rapid battlefield developments, including Syrian army advances in eastern and western Raqqa countryside, alongside the imposition of curfews in newly controlled areas.
