Iraq’s National Security Advisor Meets French Ambassador to Discuss Regional Stability

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with French Ambassador Patrick Durel in Baghdad to discuss key regional and global security developments. The talks focused on enhancing international efforts to achieve peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
Al-Araji stressed the importance of unified regional and international initiatives to restore stability, advocating for strengthened cooperation in countering extremist groups through intelligence sharing and security coordination. He also called for the repatriation of foreign nationals held in Iraqi prisons.
Ambassador Durel reaffirmed France’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Iraq, emphasizing mutual interests and support for regional security. Both officials highlighted the necessity of collaborative action to address ongoing challenges in the Middle East.
