Iraq’s National Security Advisor Meets French Ambassador to Discuss Regional Stability

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with French Ambassador Patrick Durel in Baghdad to discuss regional and global security developments. The talks focused on enhancing international efforts to achieve peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
Al-Araji stressed the importance of unified regional and international actions to restore stability, advocating for strengthened diplomatic engagement as the best path toward global peace. He also highlighted the need for expanded cooperation in countering extremist groups through intelligence sharing and security coordination, urging countries to repatriate their citizens from prisons.
Ambassador Durel reaffirmed France’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Iraq across various sectors, emphasizing mutual interests and support for regional and global security. Both officials underscored the necessity of sustained collaboration to address shared challenges.
