Hamas Leader Abu Marzouk: Resistance Weapons Are Non-Negotiable

Senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk has declared that the Palestinian resistance movement will never surrender its weapons, emphasizing that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has no right to boast about prisoner exchange deals.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mousa Abu Marzouk, a prominent leader of Hamas, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the movement has never agreed—and will never agree—to disarmament as part of any negotiations. He stressed that the issue of resistance weapons is fundamentally excluded from all current and future talks.

Abu Marzouk further criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that he has no grounds to claim victory in securing the release of Israeli captives. He clarified that all prisoners held by the occupying regime were freed under agreements dictated by the resistance’s terms.

The senior Hamas official also emphasized that any plans concerning the Gaza Strip must be coordinated directly with Hamas, as the movement remains a key political and military force in Palestine. He added that Hamas has agreed to a general framework under the so-called ‘Trump Plan’ to halt hostilities but reiterated that resistance arms remain off the table.
