Macron’s Advisor: No European Government Has Joined Trump’s Peace Council

France’s Middle East advisor Anne-Claire Legendre confirmed that no European country has participated in President Trump’s Gaza peace initiative, emphasizing France’s recognition of Palestinian self-determination.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Anne-Claire Legendre, Middle East advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron, stated in an interview with Qatar’s Al Jazeera that no European government has joined the Gaza peace council led by U.S. President Donald Trump. She reiterated France‘s position that the Palestinian people have the right to self-determination, as demonstrated by France’s recognition of an independent Palestinian state.
Legendre stressed that Europe should play a significant role in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. She explained France’s refusal to participate in the peace council, citing opposition to unilateral decision-making by President Trump.
