Lebanon’s Justice Minister Says People Have Paid Heavy Price for Wars

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanon‘s Justice Minister Adel Nasser, in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher, stated that the country’s citizens have suffered significantly from conflicts. He stressed that the authority to decide on matters of war and peace should lie solely with the government.
Nasser highlighted that centralizing arms under official state institutions is a fundamental step toward building and stabilizing Lebanon’s government. He denied any connection between the issue of arms control and the repeated violations by the Zionist regime.
The minister claimed that military options against Israel have failed to provide adequate security for Lebanon, despite field results indicating that Hezbollah’s weapons have played a significant deterrent role against the Zionist regime.
Nasser further argued that military adventurism has not contributed to Lebanon’s stability, nor has Hezbollah’s weaponry effectively deterred Israel.
