UN Rapporteur Urges Countries to Suspend Ties with Israel Over Gaza Access Restrictions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, has asserted that Israel has no legal right to block humanitarian organizations from accessing Gaza and other occupied territories. Her statement, reported by Al Jazeera and cited by Mehr News Agency, emphasized the urgency of international action.
Albanese further urged global governments to suspend diplomatic and economic relations with Israel until it adheres to international humanitarian standards. She highlighted the dire humanitarian consequences of Israel’s restrictions, which have severely limited aid delivery to Gaza’s civilian population.
The UN expert’s remarks come amid escalating tensions in the region, with multiple international organizations reporting deteriorating conditions in the blockaded enclave. Albanese’s call aligns with growing international criticism of Israel’s policies in the occupied territories.
