Iraq’s Development and Reform Alliance Rejects Trump’s Interference in Government Formation

Iraq’s Development and Reform Alliance, led by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has condemned US President Donald Trump’s intervention in Iraq’s internal affairs, asserting that government formation is a sovereign national process.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Development and Reform Alliance in Iraq‘s parliament, chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has declared that the formation of Iraq’s government is a purely national and internal matter. The alliance emphasized in a statement that the government’s establishment stems from a transparent electoral process reflecting the will of the Iraqi people.
The statement further clarified that Iraq seeks positive relations with allied nations, particularly the US, based on mutual respect. However, President Donald Trump’s interference in opposing Nouri al-Maliki’s candidacy for prime minister has sparked widespread criticism in Iraq.
