Trump Gives Netanyahu One-Month Deadline to Sign Security Agreement with Syria

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US President Donald Trump has issued a one-month ultimatum to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to sign a security agreement with Syria. The directive was reportedly conveyed during a phone call between Trump and Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria.
An Arab source from the Persian Gulf region confirmed the one-month timeline for the agreement. Trump claimed significant progress in negotiations with Israel, with the only remaining point of contention being the status of the Golan Heights.
The Israeli regime, which has occupied the Golan Heights since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s government in 2024, opposes any withdrawal from the region. A prominent Western official expressed skepticism that Tel Aviv’s stance would change within the given timeframe.
The proposed agreement reportedly includes provisions preventing Julani’s military forces from entering As-Suwayda Province and initiating negotiations over the region with Israeli support.
