Venezuelan Armed Forces Pledge Allegiance to Delcy Rodríguez Following Leadership Transition

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Delcy Rodríguez officially took command of Venezuela‘s armed forces during a ceremonial event yesterday, with the nation’s Defense Minister declaring full support for her leadership. The transition follows what Venezuelan authorities describe as an American military incursion and the alleged abduction of the country’s president.
Venezuela’s Defense Minister publicly affirmed the armed forces’ recognition of Rodríguez during the ceremony, stating: “We fully support Delcy Rodríguez. We call on everyone to declare their support during these exceptional circumstances in Venezuela.” Over 3,000 military and police personnel participated in a parade honoring the new commander.
The Defense Minister emphasized that this moment marks an unprecedented event in Venezuela’s history, with both military and police forces present to demonstrate their loyalty. Rodríguez has been overseeing governmental affairs temporarily since the reported U.S. intervention.
