Wall Street Journal Acknowledges Iran’s Strong Missile Capabilities in Response to Threats

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Wall Street Journal has highlighted Iran‘s robust missile capabilities in response to potential threats, noting the country’s possession of thousands of ballistic and short-range missiles. Iran reportedly has around 2,000 medium-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching occupied territories, along with substantial stockpiles of short-range missiles. These assets, combined with anti-ship cruise missiles, torpedo boats, and drones, underscore Iran’s military readiness.
The report emphasizes that despite a 12-day war, Iran retains the military strength to cause significant harm to U.S. interests and its allies in the Middle East. Its short-range missiles can target U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf and ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Analysts suggest that in the event of a military conflict, Iran would likely focus on U.S. positions near its coastline to leverage its extensive missile reserves.
Tehran has consistently stated that its missile program is purely defensive, aimed at deterring aggression from other nations, and that Iran will never initiate a conflict.
