Kremlin Says Zelensky Has Not Responded to Putin’s Invitation for Moscow Talks

The Kremlin has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has yet to respond to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s repeated invitation for negotiations in Moscow, with Russia proposing a location other than the UAE for the meeting.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Kremlin has announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s repeated invitation to visit Moscow for negotiations. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesperson, confirmed that Russia continues to propose a location outside the UAE for the potential meeting.

Peskov emphasized that any further justification regarding the organization of a meeting between Putin and Zelensky is unnecessary. He clarified that the ongoing negotiations in Abu Dhabi concerning Ukraine are not a continuation of the Istanbul talks but a separate process, differing in nature from last year’s discussions in Istanbul.

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, reiterated Putin’s stance, stating that Zelensky is welcome to come to Moscow if he is ready for dialogue. Ushakov assured that Moscow would guarantee Zelensky’s security should he choose to visit Russia for talks.
