EU Designates Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as ‘Terrorist Group’ in Controversial Move

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the European Union has escalated its confrontational stance against Iran by designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a ‘terrorist organization.’ This decision, announced by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, follows a meeting where EU foreign ministers agreed to include the IRGC in the bloc’s list of sanctioned entities. Kallas described the move as a ‘decisive step’ against what she termed Iran’s suppression of protests and armed terrorist activities. The decision comes amid accusations of European hypocrisy, as EU nations have remained largely silent on Israel’s military actions in Gaza, while continuing to offer political and military support to the Zionist regime.
