Trump Claims Putin Agreed to One-Week Halt in Bombing of Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed during a cabinet meeting that he personally requested Russian President Vladimir Putin to halt bombing campaigns in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities for at least one week. Trump asserted that Putin agreed to the proposal, calling it a ‘great move.’

Witkoff noted progress in ceasefire negotiations, stating that a security agreement is largely finalized, with discussions now focused on territorial disputes.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian media reported a series of explosions in Kherson, eastern Ukraine, casting doubt on the immediate de-escalation of hostilities.
