Trump Urges Putin to Halt Attacks to Facilitate Negotiations

Donald Trump has personally requested Vladimir Putin to cease military actions by February 1 to create a conducive environment for peace talks, as confirmed by the Kremlin. Meanwhile, U.S. and Ukrainian officials are working on multiple documents to resolve territorial disputes.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Donald Trump‘s appeal to Vladimir Putin to halt attacks aims to establish favorable conditions for negotiations. Peskov emphasized that Trump made the request directly, urging a cessation of all military operations by February 1.

Matthew Whitaker, the U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, noted that Washington expects territorial disputes to be resolved in the coming days and weeks. He added that negotiators are currently finalizing four key documents: a 20-point peace plan, multilateral security guarantees, U.S. security assurances, and a post-war economic recovery program.

Whitaker clarified that all documents are under simultaneous review, with a clear understanding of Ukraine’s demands. Despite ongoing talks, the Russia-Ukraine war persists, with territorial issues remaining the primary obstacle. Both nations continue efforts to maintain control over their respective regions while seeking strategic advantages in both battlefield and diplomatic arenas.
