US Imposes New Conditions on Venezuelan Oil Transactions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the US Treasury Department has issued a statement outlining new restrictions on Venezuelan oil operations. The directive permits extraction, export, and trade of Venezuelan crude solely through US-registered legal entities, while explicitly prohibiting transactions with Russian counterparts.
The announcement follows recent remarks by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who warned of potential military action if Venezuela’s interim government fails to comply with Washington’s demands. Rubio reiterated requirements for Caracas to open its energy sector to US companies, grant them oil production access, and utilize oil revenues to purchase American goods.
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has previously accused the US of seeking to plunder his country’s oil resources. Interim President Delcy Rodríguez has vowed to resist what she describes as Washington’s excessive demands.
