Iran Warns of Severe Response to Enemy Hostility, Says Top Defense Official

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ali Shamkhani, the representative of Iran‘s Supreme Leader in the Defense Council, stated in an interview with Al-Mayadeen network that Iran’s message is clear: any sign of hostile intent from adversaries will be met with a proportional, effective, and deterrent response. Shamkhani emphasized that such a response would not be limited to a specific domain or geography and could include targeting the depth of the Zionist regime.

He further clarified that Iran has not confined its confrontation scenarios to maritime boundaries and is fully prepared for broader and more complex scenarios. Shamkhani noted that Iran understands the components of comprehensive defense in the region better than any foreign power and has formulated its defensive and offensive doctrines accordingly.

Shamkhani asserted that Iran has identified the enemy’s operational plan and maintains complete oversight, ready to strike key points to neutralize it at the appropriate time. He warned that the Islamic Republic would resort to more fundamental and effective measures if necessary to defend its national security and territorial integrity.

The defense official stressed that the direct responsibility for any consequences would lie with the party that, through displays of power, harbors the illusion of breaking the will of the Iranian people. Shamkhani also highlighted that the inevitable expansion of conflict, potentially engulfing regional countries, should become a shared concern for all parties involved.
