Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Calls for Security Guarantees, Criticizes West’s Approach to Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko has emphasized that the West’s focus on providing security guarantees to Kyiv overlooks Russia’s own security needs. Grushko asserted that the best way to ensure Ukraine’s security would be through robust guarantees for Russia, a topic he claims the West has largely ignored.
Grushko also addressed French President Emmanuel Macron’s expressed interest in dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that such interest should be communicated through official channels. French officials have repeatedly announced Macron’s readiness to meet with Putin via social media and press outlets.
Tensions between Moscow and Paris have escalated due to France’s strong support for Ukraine, further straining bilateral relations.
