Donald Trump Establishes Gaza Peace Council in Davos Announcement

U.S. President Donald Trump has officially announced the formation of a Gaza Peace Council aimed at reconstruction and disarmament, though critics view it as an attempt to bypass traditional international frameworks.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump formally announced the creation of a Gaza Peace Council during a ceremony in Davos. The council’s stated objectives include the reconstruction of Gaza and ensuring the disarmament of the region.

Trump claimed during the event that the council would have the authority to carry out any actions it deems necessary, coordinating these efforts with the United Nations. However, many observers interpret these statements as an attempt to circumvent established international structures.

The draft charter of the council designates Trump as its lifelong chairman, granting him broad powers in appointing members and making decisions. Membership for countries is conditional on a minimum contribution of $1 billion.

So far, nations such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Israel have joined the council, while major powers like China, Russia, and France have declined to participate. Critics argue that the council represents an effort to undermine the United Nations.
