Rumors of IRGC Navy Commander Tangsiri’s Assassination Debunked as Psychological Warfare

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iranian military officials have dismissed widespread rumors alleging the assassination of IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri as fabricated information designed for psychological operations. The false reports, circulated extensively on Telegram channels, were traced to an Israeli-linked account known for spreading security-related disinformation.
An informed source told reporters that the claims were baseless and part of anti-Iran psychological warfare efforts. The IRGC Public Relations Department confirmed that the ‘Assassination Alarm’ account, identified as an operational arm of Mossad in psychological warfare, had previously made similar false claims about other senior Iranian commanders.
The timing of these rumors coincides with recent deployment of US naval forces to the region under President Donald Trump’s administration, suggesting a coordinated information operation. The IRGC Navy further clarified that no drone attacks had occurred on its facilities in Hormozgan province, and none of its buildings had sustained damage.
Authorities urged the public to rely only on official channels for accurate information regarding security matters, dismissing the circulating reports as completely unfounded.
