Oman Extends Condolences Over Bandar Abbas Explosion

Oman’s Foreign Ministry expressed sincere condolences to Iran following a gas leak explosion in Bandar Abbas that killed two and injured 13, as confirmed by local fire officials.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Omani Foreign Ministry issued an official statement on its X platform account, conveying the Sultanate of Oman’s heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy to the Islamic Republic of Iran, its people, and the families of victims affected by the explosion in Bandar Abbas.

The solidarity message followed preliminary reports from Bandar Abbas Fire Department Chief Mohammad Amin Liaqat, who identified a gas leak as the likely cause of the blast at a building on Moallem Boulevard.

Liaqat confirmed emergency teams responded immediately after receiving the alert at 1:58 PM local time, with all casualties evacuated from the scene. The incident resulted in two fatalities and thirteen injuries.
