UAE Orders Emirati Figures to Refrain from Responding to Saudi Criticisms
Abu Dhabi has informally instructed Emirati social media personalities to avoid responding to increasing criticisms from Saudi Arabia, as part of efforts to reduce tensions between the two nations.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abu Dhabi has issued an unofficial directive to Emirati figures active on social media, instructing them not to respond to mounting criticisms from Saudi Arabia. This move is part of the UAE‘s broader efforts to ease tensions with its neighbor.
One Emirati figure confirmed that they were instructed to focus on positive content online and avoid engaging in disputes. Tensions between Saudi Arabia and the UAE escalated following the advance of Southern Transitional Council forces in southern Yemen and the intervention of Saudi-backed elements in December last year.
