Jeffrey Epstein Accused of Extorting Libyan Officials Under Guise of Reconstruction Aid

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, recently disclosed U.S. Justice Department documents expose a sophisticated extortion scheme involving the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The convicted sex offender allegedly worked with close associates and former intelligence operatives from MI6 and Mossad to pressure Libyan officials under the pretense of assisting with post-conflict reconstruction.
Evidence includes a 2011 email to Epstein detailing how he and his collaborators capitalized on Libya’s political and economic turmoil. The correspondence reveals approximately $80 billion in frozen Libyan assets worldwide, with over $32 billion held in the United States alone. Investigators suggest the actual value of misappropriated Libyan funds may be at least four times this amount.
Last year, the Libyan government established a legal committee to track and recover these internationally frozen assets. Epstein maintained close ties with current U.S. President Donald Trump during the period these alleged activities occurred.
