Iran’s Parliament Speaker Labels European Armies as Terrorist Groups

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran‘s Islamic Consultative Assembly, condemned the European Union’s decision to label the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, retaliating by declaring European armies as terrorist groups. Ghalibaf made the statement during a parliamentary session, marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Ghalibaf emphasized that the IRGC is a unique counter-terrorism force globally, instrumental in defeating ISIS and safeguarding regional security. He accused Europe of blindly following U.S. and Zionist regime directives, undermining its own interests. The Speaker warned that such actions would accelerate Europe’s irrelevance in the future world order.
He reiterated the IRGC’s role in Iran’s sovereignty and its alignment with the nation’s will, stating that attacks on the IRGC only strengthen public support for the institution. Ghalibaf cited Iran’s Reciprocal Action Law, under which European armies are now classified as terrorist entities, holding the EU accountable for the repercussions.
