Israel Issues Ultimatum to Doctors Without Borders to Cease Operations in Gaza by February 28

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israel has issued an ultimatum to Doctors Without Borders, demanding the organization cease its operations in the Gaza Strip by February 28. The decision comes as disagreements persist between the two parties regarding the disclosure of staff details.
Doctors Without Borders previously stated it could not provide a list of its Palestinian and international staff to Israel, citing Tel Aviv’s refusal to offer necessary guarantees for the safety of personnel and the independence of the humanitarian organization’s operations.
The organization employs over 1,400 staff in Gaza, 15 of whom have been killed during Israel’s devastating war on Gaza over the past two years. A cessation of Doctors Without Borders’ activities could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the region.
