Russian Army Captures Two Ukrainian Regions in Latest Offensive

Russian forces have seized two new territories in Ukraine, with significant casualties reported on the Ukrainian side, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its forces have captured two new regions in Ukraine. The cities of Zelene in Kharkiv and Sukhetsky in Donetsk were reportedly liberated during the operation, which was part of Russia’s ongoing special military operation.

The Russian military reported that 1,085 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the offensive. The Southern Group of the Russian Army eliminated 130 Ukrainian troops and destroyed their equipment, strengthening their positions on the front lines. Meanwhile, the Central Group liberated Sukhetsky, resulting in the deaths of 375 Ukrainian soldiers.

The Eastern Group of the Russian Army continued advancing into Ukrainian defensive positions, killing 275 soldiers. Additionally, the Dnepr Group eliminated 30 Ukrainian troops, and Russian air defense systems shot down 94 Ukrainian drones.
