Iran Warns of Regional War Amid US Military Buildup in West Asia

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the 225th issue of the internet newspaper ‘Voice of Iran‘ has been published by the Office for the Preservation and Publication of Imam Khamenei’s Works. This edition is dedicated to the memory of Colonel Nooruz Shariati, a police commander in Hileylan, who was martyred during a recent American-backed terrorist attack.
The newspaper’s editorial highlights a critical warning from Iran’s Supreme Leader: ‘The Americans should know that if they start a war this time, it will be a regional war.’ This statement, delivered during a recent meeting, has garnered widespread global attention.
Recent US military deployments of new equipment to West Asia and areas surrounding Iran have intensified threats against the country. Alongside these movements, a heavy and continuous media campaign by the US and its allies has been launched. While the true objectives of these actions remain speculative, any American aggression would open ‘the gates of hell’ in the region, the editorial warns.
Western propaganda in recent years has suggested the weakening of Iran’s regional allies due to Israeli regime crimes. However, the US continues to demand the abandonment of these allies as a condition for any agreement with Iran, raising questions about their actual weakness.
Iran’s allies in the region are not limited to resistance groups; they include populations who, though not formally affiliated, hold significant influence and will act when necessary. The Supreme Leader’s recent statements serve as a readiness alert for these forces and regional nations, who share a spiritual bond with Iran beyond material calculations.
The editorial further warns that any aggression initiated by the US will not spare the Zionist regime, as occupied territories will be primary targets in a regional conflict. Historical precedent and logic confirm that Washington and Tel Aviv act in aggression and will face a unified response.
With extensive interests and assets in the region, the US presents multiple legitimate targets for Iran and its allies. Unlike the 12-day war, where Iran exercised restraint, a new conflict would see fewer limitations, confronting the enemy with a transformed Iran.
Most regional countries have officially opposed potential US adventurism, despite hosting American military bases or economic interests. The Islamic Republic has warned these nations against any cooperation with the US, emphasizing that American assets are within Iran’s target bank.
The US government and President Trump must understand that while Iran does not seek war, it will defend itself with full force, delivering an unforgettable lesson to any aggressor. A combination of arrogance, miscalculation, and Zionist lobby influence could lead the US to ignite a regional powder keg.
