Israeli Opposition Leader Yair Lapid Proposes Law to Designate Qatar as Enemy State
Yair Lapid, leader of the opposition in the Israeli Knesset, has submitted a draft law to designate Qatar as an enemy state, citing its support for groups like Hamas and alleged actions against Israel’s security interests.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yair Lapid, the opposition leader in the Israeli Knesset, announced that he will present a draft law to designate Qatar as an enemy state to the Israeli parliament. Lapid emphasized that all legal measures Israel applies against hostile nations will also be enforced against Qatar.
Lapid accused Qatar of deliberately acting against Tel Aviv’s security and political interests for years, alleging its support for groups such as Hamas. Qatar had previously condemned Israeli regime’s violations of the Gaza ceasefire.
