Saudi and Egyptian Foreign Ministers Stress Need to Contain Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations and the importance of enhancing existing partnership frameworks during a high-level meeting. Both ministers underscored the necessity of containing regional tensions and prioritizing political and diplomatic approaches to address ongoing crises.
The officials also highlighted the need for intensified efforts among Arab nations to maintain collective security amid regional instability. Discussions included the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, with both sides stressing the implementation of commitments under the second phase of the U.S. President’s proposal and support for the Palestinian National Committee governing Gaza.
Additionally, the Egyptian Foreign Minister addressed Iran’s nuclear dossier, emphasizing adherence to diplomatic channels and creating favorable conditions for the resumption of negotiations.
