Pakistan Invited to Mediate Upcoming Iran-US Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan has been formally invited to attend forthcoming talks between Iran and the United States. Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, confirmed the invitation during a press briefing on Tuesday, stating that Islamabad had received the request to join the negotiations.
A Pakistani diplomatic source emphasized Pakistan’s critical role in de-escalating tensions, noting that Islamabad has been quietly working to facilitate dialogue between the two nations. The source indicated that Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, is likely to represent the country in the discussions.
An unnamed Arab official, speaking to Agence France-Presse, revealed that the Iran-US talks are scheduled to take place in Turkey on Friday.
