NATO Secretary General Reiterates Claims of Insincerity in Russia’s Peace Negotiations

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte accused Russia of lacking genuine interest in peace during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, while announcing $15 billion in financial aid for Ukraine this year.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, during his visit to Kyiv, reiterated claims that Russia’s recent actions indicate a lack of willingness to engage in genuine peace negotiations. Rutte met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and emphasized NATO’s continued support for Ukraine, stating that this commitment will persist in the coming years.

Rutte also announced a $15 billion financial aid package for Ukraine in 2026, which will be allocated under the framework of Ukraine’s priority requirements. Additionally, reports indicate that Kyiv is set to receive between $4 to $5 billion by the end of 2025 for the procurement of defense equipment from the United States.
