Five Nations Agree to Begin Consultations on Eurasian Charter

Russia, Iran, Belarus, North Korea, and Myanmar have agreed to start negotiations on drafting the Eurasian Charter, as announced by Belarus’s Foreign Ministry.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Foreign Ministry of Belarus announced on Wednesday that Russia, Iran, Belarus, North Korea, and Myanmar have agreed to initiate consultations on drafting the Eurasian Charter. The ministry stated that work on the charter began as an initiative during the Minsk Conference in 2023 and will continue in future forums.
In November 2024, Belarus and Russia finalized a “Common Vision” document outlining key points, including perspectives on multipolarity, the significance of Eurasia, principles of a new security architecture, and an action plan for implementing agreed-upon measures.
